Hello and welcome to our blog.

We hope you enjoy reading about our week and all the fun things we have been doing at Acorns 25 this week.

Our focus this week has been on the story 'Jack and the beanstalk.'

We have been growing our own beans and other plants at The Acorns and this week we checked on how they were growing.

We carefully examined the roots and labelled the different parts of the plant.

We talked about how the roots grow down into the soil and the stem grows upwards towards the sunlight.

We made a collage and the children worked hard using scissors to snip paper.

We listened to the story each day and chatted about what some of the words in the story mean.

We learnt what a market is, what poor means and talked about why Mummy was cross with Jack and what makes us feel cross at times.

We went on to talk about how Jack was taking things from the castle that didn't belong to him and whether we thought it was a good idea or not.

"It is stealing!"

"That's not good."

We enjoyed lots of time in the garden this week

We enjoyed a lovely walk on Friday.

We posted a letter and then went in the greengrocers.

We love visiting the shop and are always welcomed warmly.

It is wonderful to see all the fresh produce on offer.

We talk about the fruits and vegetables and often find something new to learn about in there.

We stopped off at the pond to see the goslings - they are growing ! It is always a joy to see them swimming around happily.

We have been busy making some lovely things for our Dads.

Happy Father's Day to you all.

We hope you have a wonderful day on Sunday.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

Thank you for reading our blog.
