Week commencing 8th January 2024 - Acorns 25

Ciao Everyone.

This week we have had lots of fun learning about Italy.

We collaged and painted the Italian flag - the children loved getting sticky.

Most of the children were able to recognise and name the colours used for the flag

We were amazed to see the snow this week.

Alex said our footprints looked like Father Christmas had visited the garden.

Some of the children were leaning out the door trying to catch the flakes in their hands.

We wrapped up warm and enjoyed time in the garden.

We went on an ice hunt.

We made pasta necklaces - the children worked hard to thread the pasta onto the string.

Great fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination.

We also made crowns painted with the colour from the Italian flag.

We collaged Pizza.

We had so much fun playing with pasta, both cooked and uncooked.

It was tricky to learn all the different pasta names.

On Friday, Sara (Lily's Mummy) came to visit.

She made us a very yummy lunch and read us stories in Italian.

We read The Gruffalo, The Colour Monster and a story about animals.

We had a delicious panettone for pudding and Sara showed us how to dust it with icing.

Thank you so much for coming in. We really enjoyed your visit.

We hope you have enjoyed reading about our week.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

See you next week for more fun, laughter and learning.

Mrs Franks and The Acorns 25 Team.
