Welcome to our blog post.

I hope you enjoy reading about our week.

This week we have enjoyed listening to ‘The Three Little Pigs’ story.

We had lots of fun activities planned for the children that centered around the story.

We read the story each day and the children were able to recall key parts and join in with the repeated refrains in the book.

We used some sequencing cards and tried to re tell the story without the book, using just our memory of how the story went to sort the cards into the correct order.

We did some role play and acted out the story wearing our masks.  We had 3 pigs, a mummy pig and a big bad wolf mask which we shared and took turns with.

We did some box modelling an the children were able to use junk to create their own houses.

We talked about what materials would make a house strong and the children were all glad to tell us that they live in brick houses.

We played a board game in small groups. We had to listen carefully to the instructions and follow the rules of the game.

We had fun with finger puppets, retelling the story to each other.

We did some mark making and colouring.
