Week commencing 23rd June 2025 - Acorns 25

Hello and welcome to our blog post.

We hope you enjoy reading about our week.

This week we have enjoyed reading and learning about The Gingerbread Man.

We enjoyed listening to the story each day and our activities related to the characters and story line.

By the end of the week the children were very familiar with the story and were able to join in with the repeated refrains.

"Run, Run, as fast as you can - you cant catch me, I'm the Gingerbread Man."

We made gingerbread playdough - the lovely smell filled the room.

We had fun exploring the dough and using tools as well as our hands to mould and shape it.

We also made some Gingerbread people.

We measured our ingredients and worked together as a team to combine them together.

We used cutters and them baked them in the oven.

The biscuits were delicious !

We measured how tall we were compared to the Gingerbread Man.

TH was the tallest child - he was the same size as 10 Gingerbread Men !!

We enjoyed lots of time outside in the sunshine this week.
