Welcome to our blog.
We hope you enjoy reading about our week at Acorns 25.
This week we had lots of fun.
We made pasta necklaces.
The children carefully threaded their pasta onto the string.
It was quite tricky to do. Great for hand-eye co-ordination and a wonderful fine motor activity.

We did some crafting for village day – We hope to see lots of you there on the day.
A big thank you to the group of parents who have worked so hard to organise the day for us.
We are very grateful.

We sang lots of lovely songs this week.
What is your child's favourite song? We would love to know.
We celebrated World Bee Day – We looked at books about bees and talked about how bees pollinate flowers.
We made playdough bees and we planted giant sun flowers to take home. We hope bees will visit our sunflowers once they have grown.

We enjoyed being creative in the garden with lots of choices – stampers, rollers, brushes and cotton buds.

We did some more planting – we hope our beans grow as tall as the beanstalk in the Jack and the beanstalk story.
We also planted some colourful flowers.

The library display may only be up for a few more days – so please be quick to visit if you would like to see your child’s pictures displayed.
They worked so hard on their wonderful pictures.

Chicken pox has arrived at The Acorns – please keep an eye on the WhatsApp group for updates.
We hope the pox doesn't stop any half term fun you have planned.
Have a very happy half term everyone and we look forward to seeing you all for the final half term of the nursery year.
Mrs Franks and The Acorns Team.
