Week Beginning 9th July - Westmeston

We have had an amazing time at both settings this week as we prepare our leavers for school and start thinking ahead to the Autumn Term.

Many changes with our grown ups too! We said goodbye to Mrs Davies, Mrs Hilton and Miss Edwards. All of them going off on new adventures! We are very excited that Miss Cheyne is getting married next week and will come back as Mrs Franks! Congratulations Miss Cheyne!

We have been in and out with school visits. It has been lovely to hear all about everyone's new teachers and friends.

We have been playing in the paddling pool again but instead of water we used balls! Fancy that! It was actually chilly on some mornings! Too chilly for water!

Miss Vincent has been teaching us to sing the Rainbow Song using our voices and our hands! We are getting really good at it!

Thankfully lost things are being found but there are still some things to look out for! Thank you everybody for checking!

Friday was our last day and included the Leaver's Party! We had fun all day with the Lindfield children joining us at Westmeston.

There was a bit of scarecrow making with Miss Reay from Lindfield and she helped us to stuff and dress the body, arms and legs.

We loved all of the dressing up costumes! Despite the sunshine, some of us were determined

to keep our costumes on! We had lots of free play in the shade, making dens and prisons! There was lots of running around!

Some of us just chilled!

There was a scary moment when a dinosaur popped in for a snack! We didn't know whether to laugh or scream. Luckily we noticed the flip flops! Do real dinosaurs wear flip flops?

We played tug of war and duck, duck goose as we worked up an appetite for a party tea time.

We rounded off the afternoon with the huge parachute!

It was sad to say good bye to so many friends and their parents and to wish them well as they head off to school! We know that they are all ready to go and that bit makes us happy!

Staff would like to say a big "THANK YOU" for the amazing cards, gifts and words. It has made us feel so appreciated. Such, lovely thoughtful children and parents. Thank you!

We hope that you have a lovely summer and we look forward to coming back in September!
