Week commencing 8th of Feb - Lindfield

This week has been all about numbers and shapes. We spent lots of time observing shapes and measuring things - particularly focusing on one of our favourite stories, Jack and the Beanstalk! We planted one of the beans we found in the garden, and enjoyed listening and reading the story.

To help us with our numbers, we did lots of measuring activities, and even made our own pizzas on Friday and helped measure out all the ingredients. Yummy!

We also loved doing some arts and crafts for Valentines day. Lots of reds and pinks and reminding our friends and family how much we love them!

We celebrated our friend Jack's third birthday this week. Thanks for letting us celebrate with you Jack and for that delicious cake!

This week was a snowy one. It was magical to see all the snow on the ground and finding places that the ice had formed in the Acorns garden. It was also wonderful to see the snowdrops coming up.

On Friday, we had great fun celebrating Chinese New Year. We tried prawn crackers and pancakes, made some origami Chinese Dragons and had great fun with an amazing dragon costume! Lets hope the year of the Ox is a good one!

That's all from us this week! What a lovely end to the half term. We hope you all have a restful break!
