We saw some children show great empathy towards others who were upset or hurt. We watched as children celebrated the achievements of their peers. This week our focus has been on communication and understanding. We have also been celebrating Bonfire Night with lots of wonderful art work. The children had to listen carefully to the instructions on how to complete the art activities. On Tuesday we produced salt fireworks with paint. The children spread glue on to their paper in a firework shape, covered it in salt, shook off the excess then added colours with pipettes. The result were some lovely, if rather messy, texture

Welcome to our latest blog post. We have had lots of fun this week at The Acorns. It’s been cold but sunny and we have enjoyed lots of time outside in our garden. We ran, jumped and skipped around the garden. We climbed on the pirate ship and climbing frame. We enjoyed sliding down the slippery slide. We made marks with chalk and water on the chalk board.
