At the Acorns, children are supported in all aspects of their development: social, emotional, physical and academic. We aim to create a supportive and stimulating environment, which fosters a strong sense of curiosity and self-worth.

About us

Made up of two settings, the Acorns Nursery and Forest School provides children aged 1-8 years with the springboard to a bright future. Both settings in Lindfield are open five days a week, offering 'stay-and-play' sessions, and additional care before and after the main nursery day.

At the Acorns, children are supported in all aspects of their development: social, emotional, physical and academic.

It is our mission to:

  • Create a supportive and stimulating environment, which fosters a strong sense of curiosity and self-worth
  • Nurture and inspire curiosity for life-long learning
  • Hold space for creativity and experimentation through art, craft, music and imaginative play
  • Deepen children's connection to each-other and the natural world
  • Provide children with a strong foundation in reading, writing and number skills

Our holistic approach means children enjoy both the support and freedom to develop not only a curiosity for the world around them, but a real eagerness to understand it.

Our original Lindfield setting (59 Denmans Lane) was awarded 'Outstanding' by Ofsted in 2011, 2013 and 2019.

We believe our approach provides children with the best possible start. But don't just take it from us - see what our parents say about us.
We are currently accepting registrations for children aged 18 months - 8 years.
