This week we have been super busy with Halloween crafts. The children enjoyed painting paper plates and turning them into pumpkins. We used bright orange paint to paint the plate and then once it was dry used pre-cut shapes and black pens to stick and draw on the faces. We also used Halloween stencils and sponges to make some fabulous pictures. Have a look at these …… We made little friendly ghosts to hang up. We used a conker, some string and pieces of white fabric.
We took a trip to the high seas this week and played at being pirates. We enjoyed dressing up and taking a trip on the pirate ship. Some us had to walk the plank - this was great for our balancing skills and luckily the water wasn't very deep if we fell in! We had the chance to make telescopes and decorated them in our own choice of styles. We also made treasure maps and used water stained with tea bags to make them look old and crinkled. This week we have celebrated all things Harvest and learnt about this important time of year. On Tuesday we were invited by our friends Gary and Tessa to visit Westmeston Church to look at their beautiful Harvest display. We were sent on a mission to find pictures of wheat sheaves that had been hidden around the church. We found so many hidden high and low; it was really fun searching.
