Hello and welcome to our post.
We hope you enjoy reading about our week.
Its been a busy one !
We have had so much fun at The Acorns.
We enjoyed some lovely walks in the village this week. There is just so much to see and talk about when we are out and about.
We walked through the allotments and chatted about what might be growing.

We went to the duck pond to see the baby Goslings.
They are adorable!

We saw some amazing plants and flowers. They were so bright and beautiful.

We chatted to some workers on the lane who were busy building a new wall.
We looked at their equipment and tools.
Mixers and Wheelbarrows were loaded and we watched some concrete as it was poured.

Can you spot the difference between these bricks?
We celebrated VE DAY.
Mrs Finney had brought in some amazing things that belonged to her Uncle.
He was in the RAF.
We loved trying on his hat and looking at his medals.
We also saw a ration book and some other treasures.
It was very special - Thank you to Mrs Finney for sharing.

We made to cupcakes to take home - all taking turn to add ingredients, mix and scoop into cases.

We wrapped up our cakes beautifully in cellophane and tied them with ribbon. Red, White and Blue.
We had fish and chips for lunch and Mrs Neve brought in something special for us to use.
A vintage potato chipper !
The children were fascinated to see the potatoes turn into chips by simply pressing down on the chippers handle.

Proper chips - What a treat !
We have been busy creating some lovely artwork for the library display which will be going up next week.
We hope you can find some time to visit it and find your child's picture.
They are very proud to know their work will be on display.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone.
Mrs Franks and The Acorns Team.
What a great week you’ve all had! So lovely to see xx
