Week commencing 2nd January 2024 - Acorns 25 & 59 combined blog.

Welcome to our blog post.

We hope that everyone had a wonderful festive break and wish you all a very happy new year.

This week we have had lots of fun settling the children back in.

They have enjoyed telling us stories about Christmas and the fun they shared with their families.

“I got a new lip balm.”

“Father Christmas gave me some pencils and a squishy.”

“I don’t quite remember what I got in my presents.”

“I had soooooo many presents.”

“Santa ate all the food and milk but the reindeer didn’t finish the carrots, I think they had so many they got a bit farty.”

“I don’t have a chimney,  Santa is magic and he can get in any house in the planet at Christmas”

We have welcomed some new children to both setting this week and settling in visits have gone brilliantly.

We are excited for the children to start their Acorns journey.

We hope you have all received a copy of our planning, planning plus, menu and calendar. Please check your junk folders and let us know if you don’t have it – we seemed to have a problem last term when we sent out group emails but hope to have resolved this now.

As always, if you would like to come in and get involved with a cooking activity, craft, circle time, music session or any aspect of nursery life then please speak to Mrs Franks who can arrange a suitable time.

We look forward to receiving your new term paper work and setting your children’s next steps for the term.

The information you provide, helps us to gauge where the children are with their learning and where we can support them further.

If you need any help with the forms, please speak to Mrs Franks or Mrs Voller.

Here are a selection of photos from both settings.

Back to normality next week with seperate blogs.

We kick off our 'Around The World' project next week.

The first country we will be visiting will be Italy.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

Mrs Franks and The Acorns Team.
