This week has been super busy! We have enjoyed making our calendars for next year. We used an ink pad and printed with our hands and some star shaped stamps. We had snow! The sheep were nice and warm in their woolly jumpers. We made sure that we were nice and warm too when we went outside. It's hard work but we are becoming experts at putting our shoes and wellies on, doing buckles and Velcro fastenings. This week we have been getting into the festive spirit. On Monday we started to make our Christmas cards and decorations. We did some amazing writing inside our cards and will take them home nearer the end of term. We think the children may already be getting quite excited as energy levels were through the roof! We are feeling very Christmassy now as we are practising the Christmas CD ahead of the concert and we are starting to make decorations for the hall. Although it has been very mild we have noticed that when we stop playing it feels a bit chilly so we are learning to think ahead (with support) to decide for ourselves what we might need to wear when we are outside especially on a Friday when we can't just pop back in. On Monday we started to practise for our Christmas concert. Some of the children already know the songs and can remember singing them last year. We will be practising every day between now and the concerts which are on the 5th and 6th of December at Westmeston. Tickets will be available to buy next week. This week we started off by talking about bonfire night and fireworks. We have decorated firework biscuits with icing and food colouring and made sparkly firework pictures with glitter glue.
