Our focus this week has been Literacy – Writing. On Monday the sun was shining and we enjoyed lots of time outdoors.
A group of children went out for a lovely long walk, while others played in the garden. The children who went walking visited Scrase Valley Nature Reserve and they had a fabulous time.
They looked for frog spawn but ended up finding lots of tadpoles instead. They were so wriggly!
They saw many pretty flowers on their adventure too. Some children were able t
This week has been noticeably colder with a chilly wind in the sunshine and lots of rain at times! We have been very busy making Mother’s Day Gifts to show our love and appreciation. We hope you like them! Some of us made cards as well. We worked hard with our writing. To make the gifts we safely used a junior hack saw and a pyrography pen. The pen got so hot that it made smoke on the balsa wood! We used a ruler to measure the size of the blocks. We talked about safety an
Our focus this week has been Physical Development – Health and Self-Care. On Monday a group of children went out for a lovely long walk – they did some running and jumping jacks whilst at the park and then were encouraged to observe how their bodies felt after exercising.

We have had some beautiful spring days this week and we have been making the most of being outside. We even had to take our coats off because it was so warm! We took turns at listening to each other talking at carpet time. We practised good manners at lunchtime. We are always practising good listening but some of

Understanding the World – Technology.
This week we focussed on the ways in which we can use technology. We provided many opportunities for the children to use electronic devices and remote control operated toys. We had kindles, ipads and laptops available for the children to use and had carefully selected educational games for them to explore. We used the camera and uploaded the pictures onto the computer so we could look at them on a larger screen, we even printed some out
